Black Church Disband? Are You Serious?

Letter to the Editor:
I could hardly believe my eyes, as I read your e-mail about  "Bro" Elijah Gatewood's  article on "WHY [the] BLACK CHRISTIAN CHURCH MUST DISBAND."   Is he for real?  If he is, he must be a "babe in Christ" [Heb 5:5-6:1,2]...

Unfocused asks: What causes people to lose their focus?
Distractions! Without question. I believe this is why the Bible states to write the vision and make it plain so that when you read it, you will understand and execute it.  One way to reduce or eliminate distractions that so easily hinder us is to move the visions from our heads and put it on paper. By the way, I think that writing down dreams and visions is a good activity for the entire family.  How different would your life be if someone had helped you turn your passions into a clearly written vision? Successful organizations have clearly written mission statements and strategic plans. God made it clear that if we desire success, we should do the same.

Q: Surrounded and lonely asks: I feel lonely even in the church. What should I do? I am not a person who takes the first step in getting to know others because I am shy.

A: Whose fault is it that you feel lonely in church? Who is ultimately responsible for your feelings of loneliness? You may have heard the cliché, “If you want something different to happen, do something different.”

Worth the Weight

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,  looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith , who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross …”Heb 12:1-2

Have you ever noticed in the Bible that Christ was thronged by people all the time...
